When you first visit this site, you might wonder, "Why the heck is the top page written in English but everything else in Japanese!?" I'm sure some of you may find it sheerly absurd to make a website only partially English, where most of its contents are primarily Japan-related: VAIO, ADSL, etc. I have my own reasons.

最初このサイトを訪れた際に、「何だ！？何だってトップページだけ英語であとは日本語なんだ？」とか思うかも知れません。VAIOやADSLなどの日本関連のコンテンツを扱うサイトを部分的にも英語で書くことへの必要性を感じられないと思う方も少なからずいるかと思います。ですが、これには私なりの理由があります。

Here's why. First of all this site is dedicated to Ibuki, my cat. Nothing more or less than that. Second, I set out with a site composed fully in English for easier viewing by friends scattered around the world - not that I have so many friends:P~ But when I gave the site a major overhaul, I figured, "Hey, this is going to be a VAIO site, something I want the Japanese public to read!"

まず第一に、このサイトは私の愛猫のいぶきに捧げるサイトで、それ以上でも以下でもありません。また、このサイトの前身は、世界中に散らばった友人にも見てもらえるように全て英語で書いたものでした（それほど友人が多いわけではないですけど(^^;）ですが、全面リニューアルした際に感じたのは、「こりゃVAIO系のサイトになるな。ってことは、日本の人たちに読んでもらいたいな。」ということでした。

Then I also realized that I wouldn't have enough time and energy to maintain both Japanese and English sites up to date. So the best solution was an English top page and Japanese main pages. This way, I hopefully thought, I would be able to manage people from both sides of the world. That's how my site has become of the present look.

ただ、日本語版と英語版を平行して管理できるほどの時間も気力もないと思いました。で、一番もっともらしい解決策が英語のトップページに日本語の中身だったわけです。こうすれば世界の反対側にいる人たちとも付き合っていけるかな、というわけで現在のサイトが在るわけです。
